Regional HR Coordinator - Safety/WC/LOA

We are seeking candidates for our vacantRegional Human Resources Coordinator(HRC)position. The HRC will manage and administer the safety, worker's compensation and leave of absence programs and/or employee relations programs by executing the following essential job duties:

  • Manage and oversee the safety, leave of absence and worker's compensation processes for the assigned regions.
  • Maintain and update safety policies, programs, procedures and practices.
  • Administer the worker's compensation program to ensure timely and accurate claims processing; including timely investigation and oversee the return to work program
  • Administer all aspects of the modified duty and return-to-work programs; ensures fitness for duty forms are received and return to duty drug screens are completed according to established company policy and federal law.
  • Main point of contact for employees on STD, LTD, FMLA, Military, WC and other Personal leaves of absence; establishes rapport with the employees, management and the vendors, guides, communicates and supports the employee through the leave process.
  • Compile and distribute weekly, monthly and yearly HR metrics reports and documents.
  • Accurately execute the day-to-day clerical and administrative functions of the human resources department.
  • Support regional management and employees with handling and responding toemployee inquiries.
  • Train new hires and existing employees on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems, etc.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees and/or job applicants.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping employee information confidential.
  • Work additional, non-traditional hours (as needed) to complete job tasks and assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • 2 - 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in a similar HR Administrator role
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field of study preferred
  • Current HR Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations governing employment. Multi-site (state) experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;Proactive approach when working with others
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of integrity andability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and align HR processes to achieve business results
  • Self-motivated with the abilityto work independently, resourcefully with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strong working relationships withinternal and external customers
