Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for tracking and issuing invoices for APS Solutions using skills in project management, organization, and communication to issue invoices to clients and customers. This position requires the highest level of attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all weekly and monthly tasks. The Accounts Receivable Clerk must support the APS Finance Department by monitoring and reviewing purchase orders, process increases as applicable, assisting with past due invoices, and provide support to Account Managers. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will also support and assist the accounts payable functions within the APS Finance Department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare customer invoices accurately and issue invoices timely on a weekly basis; Prepare statements to issue to customers on a monthly basis; Update client/customer accounts based on payment and/or contact information
  • Coordinate with Account Managers to obtain customer purchase order details and process changes as applicable; Review customer purchases orders on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and monitor reports as required and provide to applicable parties as requested (such as APS A/R Aging Reports)
  • Assist with collections of payments and follow-up to past due invoices; Communicate with clients and customers to request payment following up with applicable parties as required.
  • Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information timely and accurately
  • Works cooperatively with all team members to develop and implement finance department goals and initiatives.
  • Works independently with little to no direct supervision; Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.

Job Requirements
•    Bachelor's Degree required, or minimum of 2 years accounts receivable or finance experience equivalency; Preference given to         individuals with equivalent bachelor’s degree 
•    Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks with a strong initiative and solid judgment skills.
 

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required; Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public and co-workers to communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; proficient in the use of a variety of general office equipment and skilled at typing at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
