JOB TYPE: Full Time
SHIFT: 1st shift
HOURS: Minimum 40 Hours per week
EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree Preferred
EXPERIENCE: 5 + years in Manufacturing/Quality Field Preferred; Safety Committee experience a plus

Job Description

The intent of the Quality & Safety Engineer position is to enlist a candidate to join a staff of dynamic and multi-functional leaders within a growing organization. The purpose of this position is to take on and lead initiatives and responsibilities currently held by other members within the organizational structure. This position is designed to ensure continuous improvement of the operation, while enabling future growth and focus on the business. To help accomplish this mission, the Quality & Safety Engineer is responsible for the following:

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Executing internal and external audits.
  • Leading nonconformance program, promoting continuous improvement and true root cause.
  • Overseeing and managing internal Quality System.
  • Reviewing and approving internal quality documents, such as SOP’s and controlled forms.
  • Handling customer quality issues.
  • Completed all required FAI’s (First Article Inspections).
  • Review and approve annual quality budget.
  • Develop work instructions for customer product to meet applicable specification requirements.
  • Lead plant Safety Committee, to include annual reporting.
  • Other Task
