with Resource Conservation and Recovery
Act (RCRA) regulations, Albuquerque Environmental Health Department Air
Quality Program Regulations, Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility
Authority Permit, New Mexico Environment Department Regulations, and other
local, state and federal regulations. Additional Health and Safety program
responsibilities may include EHS training, respiratory protection program,
industrial h yg i ene m on it o r i n g ,
l i fe s af e t y inspections , che m i cal sa f e t y , and e m er g ency p l ann i ng and r e spo n se. Ma n a g e m ent of multiple

Serve
as a role model in establishing safe working practices and promote safety in
the workplace. Manage
compliance with Air Quality regulations to include identifying permit modifications
to accommodate manufacturing needs, maintaining systems to monitor emissions,
and completing reporting requirements. Manage
compliance with Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority
wastewater discharge permit and reporting conditions. Assess
and refine hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling and waste minimization
procedures to ensure compliance with RCRA regulations and best management
practices. Monitor
and train employees on collection, handling, packaging and staging of hazardous
and non-hazardous wastes. Ensure
proper characterization , t ra n spo r t a ti o n and des t ru c t i on of hazardous wastes. Oversee E m er g ency R esponse f o r
ha z ardo u s m a t e r i a l s r e l e a ses. Routinely
monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure that controls are operating
properly. Pe r for m rou t i ne and periodic
reviews of facility operations to ensure compliance with New Mexico Environment
Department, Environmental Protection Agency and other applicable agency

Qualifications: Edu cat i on a nd / o r E x p er i e n ce: Bachelor's D e g r e e app l i c ab l e t o t h e f ield and at least 7-12 years of active participation i n EH & S; knowledge of m anufa c t u r i ng/phar m aceu t i c a l hea l t h & s a f e t y programs a plus. An Associate's Degree in related field plus 12 or more years of active experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
