Summary of Job

The position of Technical Sales Account Manager in Port St Lucie, FL involves identifying new customers, developing new sales opportunities, and maintaining regular contact with existing customers. AMD Supply is dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service and providing tailored solutions to meet each customer's unique requirements. The Technical Sales Account Manager will employ a consultative sales approach to assist customers with their purchasing needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Meet with new and existing customers to identify sales opportunities

  2. Cultivate strong relationships with customers to address their material requirements

  3. Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to maintain regular contact with customers

  4. Maintain a record of customer interactions in Netsuite, including visits and phone calls

  5. Identify opportunities for growth by introducing new products

  6. Manage and maintain customers within designated geographic area

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Associates degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Capable of managing multiple high-priority issues simultaneously.

    •Able to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.

    • Possesses basic computer skills.

    • Skilled in conflict resolution with customers.

    •Able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.

    •Capable of making timely, pragmatic decisions.

    •Expertise in organizing, planning, and prioritizing work.

    •Excellent communication skills, including active listening.

    •Adept at building successful working relationships with colleagues and managers.

    •Self-motivated

    •Strong numerical reasoning skills and attention to detail.

    •Familiarity with product lines and ability to travel between cities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Relevant experience in the aluminum industry

  2. Familiarity with Netsuite or other CRM software

  3. Experience with consultative sales approach

Recommended Education/Vocational/Previous Experience:
•College degree preferred
•Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience
•Valid FL driver's license

Working Conditions:
•Automobile travel.
•Exposure to extreme temperatures, dusty conditions, fumes, chemicals, loud noise, machinery with moving parts, and wet and/or humid conditions may occur.
