Summary
Supports the Test Engineering and Electronics Engineering departments in the development and commission of test solutions as well as performing test and providing troubleshooting assistance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Includes the following:
- Assists in the generation of test plans, procedures, and work instructions from customer requirements
- Participates in the build, manufacture, and validation of test fixtures as required per customer requirements, test plans, and test standards
- In conjunction with the Test Engineer, develops and validates test automation solutions to reduce errors, reduce complexity, and increase throughput
- Setup and configure test setups, fixtures, testing apparatus and machines
- Coordinates with Test and Production departments to provide the necessary documentation, education, and training for a successful handoff
- Assist and support Electronic Technicians and/or Engineers in the resolution of product issues.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of analog, digital, and microprocessor based systems
- Calibrate, maintain, and/or troubleshoot test fixtures
- Ensures proper documentation and retention of test solutions
- Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
- Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Ability to read & understand assembly documentation, test procedures, and all inspection criteria
- Ability to operate all test equipment including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and programming devices
- Ability to work in a team environment with supervision
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to utilize the web to find resources and resolve problems
Education and/or Experience
- Experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar devices
- Experience with script or object-oriented based programming languages
- Minimum of one to three years experience in a manufacturing environment
- IPC 610 & 620 certification
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds.
