Title: Jr / Mid Financial Analyst ( Government Accounting / Obligations)
Location: HYBRID - REMOTE 2 days & on-site 3 days in Bethesda, MD 
Status: Active CAC preferred - US Citizens - able to get a Public Trust per client requirements (can start before PT is processed )
Compensation: Base salary range: $75,000 - $83,000/yr w2 -- PLEASE NOTE: no C2C or 1099 allowed

Description:

• Go through stale obligations and see which ones are good and which ones are bad, need someone who has familiarity with gov. accounting as a result
• Mid level financial analyst required to assist with audit readiness as the Federal client is presently undergoing an annual audit.  
• The Financial Analyst will be assigned duties related to financial management sustainment tasks working in a team environment with approximately 12 team members.  
• The Financial Analyst will be required to interface with other colleagues, clients, and federal agency personnel. 

General Responsibilities:

• Review of obligations to ascertain if obligations are valid.
• Liaison with USG Employees for all required actions requiring service providers input
• Fulfillment of audit requests and related documentation and sample test items
• Representation of USUHS at functional meetings as requested
• Document response to issues and recommends solutions to resolve issues.
• Maintain files for functional area(s)
• Prepare reconciliations
• Prepare daily/weekly status requests
• Prepare audit lead sheets with supporting documentation
• Surge requests—since the USUHS has a small audit support team, at times staff has to be shifted to fulfill priority audit requests.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor degree plus 3 years federal accounting/audit experience.
• Strong analytical and verbal communication skills to interpret and present analytical data.
• Excellent Excel stills
• Good Word, PDF, and organizational stills
• Adaptability to quickly change direction on day to day tasks
• Interest in Federal Financial Management
