Director of Engineering - Aerospace

The Director of Engineering will direct and coordinate activities of engineering department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems.

What you will be doing:

• Direct department activities in design of new products, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.
• Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
• Forecast operating costs of department and direct preparation of budget requests
• Advise management of new developments that affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and inter-departmental relations
• Manage engineering department, and the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of units
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance, address complaints and resolve problems
• Provide regular performance feedback, develop subordinates' skills and encourages growth

What you need to qualify:

• 10 years' experience in an engineering leadership role in the aerospace industry
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical
• Possess a good amount of energy 
• Good longevity in previous engineering roles
