Job Description

The Vice President of Marketing oversees all aspects of ALCOVA’s marketing and promotional activities, as well as, directs efforts to enhance the Company’s public image and outreach to the communities in which we are located. This position develops and implements marketing strategies that provide ALCOVA with the service and support required for continuous growth. Strategies include intellectual property, branding, software, digital and social media, promotional materials, events, and community initiatives. S/he is successful working under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously, is highly flexible and adaptable, demonstrates strong attention to detail with unswerving dedication to accuracy, and has outstanding communication skills. In addition, s/he is proactive, and results-oriented, as well as always thinking of creative and novel strategies to market ALCOVA that generate opportunities for business development. The Vice President of Marketing will develop, manage, and lead a dynamic and motivated Marketing team.

  • Creates, plans, and implements all promotional, advertising, and public relations strategies of the Company in order to increase revenue and community awareness.
  • Works closely with Sales, Operations, and Corporate to coordinate Company-wide events/promotions, share ideas, strategies, and any other valuable information relevant to the Company’s overall marketing strategy. 
  • Takes the initiative to identify new and creative ways to share and increase the ALCOVA brand reach.
  • Develop, track, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies.
  • Displays a high degree of professional decorum and business acumen, focused on outstanding customer service and quality delivery.
  • Develops and executes the digital and social media strategy across various social channels including managing ALCOVA’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts.
  • Oversees and manages the Company’s external- and internal-facing websites, including content updates, compliance requirements, and branding.
  • Works with Branches to plan, create, and execute various community events throughout ALCOVA’s geographic footprint.
  • Works with Corporate and Branches to implement appropriate marketing plans for upcoming promotions, events, and new product rollouts.
  • Manages the oversight and execution of ALCOVA’s promotional and logo items, including the “Company Store”.
  • Ensures a consistent Company image is portrayed within all marketing programs and venues, as well as supporting brand integrity.
  • Leads the development of the annual Marketing strategy and plan.
  • Assists in ALCOVA’s community involvement and charitable giving plans.
  • Serves as a resource to other departments and Branches as needed.
  • This position performs additional duties as assigned, given adequate guidance and resources.


As a member of management, this position will be accountable as follows:

  • Supports and/or adheres to ALCOVA’s mission, core values, and guiding philosophies.

This position employs, delegates to, supervises, and evaluates the performance of professionals and staff encompassing their area of responsibility.  



  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in marketing, management, or related discipline preferred.
  • Five or more years of direct experience in Marketing management preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in direct staff supervision and management preferred.
  • Experience in integrated marketing, content marketing, and/or digital marketing.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, in order to produce error-free materials, such as fact sheets, slick sheets, talking points, abstracts, web content, and presentations.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively work with a variety of personalities and audiences.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong aptitude for marketing and project management software applications.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and agile, as well as creative and innovative.
  • Strategic planning and critical thinking skills, including experience developing comprehensive and strategic marketing plans.
  • Ability to provide expert advice on marketing and visibility maximization.
  • Excellent relationship management and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively across the organization in a team environment, as well as to operate across functions.
  • Compliance with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) requirements is required. Employee must complete annual training in these areas.


This job operates in a clerical office setting; climate-controlled surroundings with adequate lighting and little or moderate noise when in the office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. 


This is largely a sedentary role. However, when there is travel required, there is a need to be able to lift computer cases, boxes of materials, etc. that may vary in weight.


Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


This position requires up to 25% travel. Moderate travel is needed by private vehicle or airline carriers with overnight stays in modern facilities at times. Regional traffic conditions when traveling by car to-and-from business appointments. Mileage reimbursement will be provided at current IRS allowable rates.
