Position Overview:

The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring the company's security tools and supporting the company's compliance with CMMC security controls. The Senior Security Engineer will be an integral leader within the Information security department. The Security Engineer is a key player in defending the company's data, systems, and network from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to participate in a broad set of compliance and security responsibilities.

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Ability to articulate IT risk into easy-to-understand language that business leaders can understand as potential risks to the business
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information processed, stored, or accessed by the systems is required
  • The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to reason analytically is required
  • Effective leadership skills to help lead security projects to address identified risks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Evaluate new and existing security-related tools
  • Identify potential risks and propose appropriate remediations for identified risks
  • Assist in responding to customer security risk questionnaires and audits
  • Design solutions to address IT risks and lead projects to implement security changes
  • Lead Investigation into security breaches and/or incidents
  • Participate and project manage IT security related projects on an ongoing basis
  • Oversee the PKI infrastructure
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary

Other Skills We Hope to See:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other technology-related discipline
  • 3-5 years of IT experience in IT security administration
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and security-related tools preferred
  • CISSP Certification preferred
  • CMMC or NIST compliance
  • Experience managing PKI
  • Experience managing Alert Logic, Imperva, Okta, and AWS security tools is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required
