Financial Planning & Analysis (Team Lead)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Provide stakeholders with information vital to the decision-making process

Provide strategic financial planning advice to stakeholders to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan

Champion the reporting and analysis of key KPIs and evolve the KPIs to ensure measurement of key performance drivers and leading indicators

Structure, build, and maintain complex financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

Lead financial analysis of major initiatives

Partner with Finance leadership to prepare Board materials, presentations, and monthly reporting

Participate in new financial system implementation process to ensure information and data captured is aligned with future reporting and analysis requirements

Identify and drive improvements in management reporting, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards that monitor business performance metrics

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including budgeting, management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning.

Examines policy issues and strategic planning with a long-term perspective. Determines objectives and sets priorities while identifying potential threats and opportunities.

Creative Mindset: Able to build the financial infrastructure to support the company's current and future business requirements, including the proper mode and form of reports, planning tools, and analytical capabilities. Uses technology solutions to streamline reporting and automate internal processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or similar field

Seven years business finance experience with at least three years in a corporate FP&A function

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in accounting, finance, or economics

Seven to ten years of direct finance experience

M&A experience, including business and financial integrations

Professional accreditation - CPA or CFA


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).

Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.

Experience in project management including government contracts.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting and financial software.
