Compensation: $12.50/hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Typically a 40-hour work week, but applicants must be able to work overtime and Saturday work if requested by management.)

Job Summary: A successful manufacturing and distribution company has an excellent opportunity for an entry level Counter Sales Clerk who wants to jump in head-first and help continue to grow our sales team. You will directly contribute to improving our sales goals by taking orders over the phone, in person, and through email. If you are passionate about sales or interested in learning about sales and like working with other people, then we want to talk to you! The ideal candidate would have a history of being organized, multi-tasking, great computer skills, data entry experience, and looking to grow with the company.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Sell construction products to businesses and individuals by taking orders verbally, by email or fax

* Operate the cash register and provide accurate change to cash-paying customers

* Greet customers when they walk through the door and ask if they need assistance

* Create and process sales orders in a timely fashion

* Recommend products to customers based on their needs or interests

* Investigate and resolve customer complaints or customer service issues

* Provide administrative assistance to management team members as required

Work Environment: This position is performed in an office.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The noise level in the work environment is quiet in the office and moderate to loud in the plant.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time non-exempt salary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm.
