AgFirst is seeking a Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure who provides strategic direction for the IT Operations and Infrastructure organization which includes data center operations, systems operations, and client services. Responsible for ensuring that reliability, availability, security, and performance of systems are maintained for information technology operations and infrastructure. Ensure the enforcement of associated standards, including all servers, workstations, networks and telecommunications within the primary and backup data centers. Responsible for the establishment and oversight of sound information technology architecture and associated standards that allow the company to develop and deploy cost-effective information systems that meet the company's business requirements.
Responsible for selection, procurement, and implementation of information technology hardware and software, network equipment, and telecommunications equipment that cost-effectively meet the company's business requirements. Responsible for providing timely and effective information technology support to internal and external customers and the associated systems and networks. Accountable for the development and implementation of information technology strategies and standards.
Accountable for providing support for the development and deployment of new applications and systems. Accountable for the development of service level agreements for all information systems, and the operation of those information systems within the tolerances of those agreements. Accountable for providing effective and reliable data networks for both enterprise information systems and end-user computing.
Accountable for providing effective desktop and mobile computing solutions for field personnel and providing the necessary support to allow these personnel to utilize these systems effectively and efficiently. Accountable for the implementation and operation of all associated information security controls as defined in the Information Security Manual. Duties and Responsibilities: Plays a key role in the management of reliable, available, secure and performing systems for customers and bank to transact business activity effectively and efficiently. Additionally, another key role is the system development life cycle associated infrastructure systems and support for other business application solutions. Key accountabilities related to the SDLC include: * Managing new initiatives essential for business success * Actively participates in operations, steering and advisory committees * Works to ensure associated work supports corporate business objectives and key result areas * Acts as a change agent in regards to improving the AgFirst SDLC methodologies * Engages, leads and directs teams to ensure they are appropriately executing on the bank plans and accurately/reporting on project status/risks * Essential Functions of the job include, but are not limited to:* ** * Insures the efficient and reliable operation of all LAN/WAN/Voice infrastructure services, remote and local communications controllers, remote and local terminal devices and mainframe and client/server platform components * Oversees the development and implements operational techniques and methodologies, which insure full use of technology and personnel * Hires, trains, counsels, supervise, and appraise subordinates to insure an efficient and effective operation * Prepares and administers performance evaluations and recommends salary adjustments for salaried subordinates * Monitors and measures mainframe and network systems usage and load patterns with proper network design to enhance the efficiency and reduce costs of the communication system operation * Assist in providing outsourcing services and consulting to off-site locations for hardware/software and communication systems planning and acquisitions between the Information Management Department and Farm Credit Associations or affiliates * Communicates relevant operations control activities with IT management and non-IT management who are affected by the performance of the communications system and network platform initiatives * Ensures accurate network equipment inventories and network documentation including the preparation, communication and publication of network infrastructure standards * Insures that all network hardware and software are operational and efficient to support corporate business needs * Prepares, monitors, and manages IT budgets for operations and infrastructure system and services * Ensure teams technical staff is adequately trained and performs research and evaluation on standard based products; both hardware and software, to identify and deploy efficiencies Requirements: o Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field o Ten or more years of experience managing and directing computer and network infrastructure systems, application development and platform management services o Strong and demonstrated skills in human relations and resolution management o Strong oral and written communication skills o Strong project management skills demonstrated by managing medium to large projects o Candidate must possess a background with at least 5 years' experience of applications development #LI-OM1
