Job Description

The Construction Education Foundation (CEF) is a 501(c)3, powered by the Associated General Contractors of Colorado. Our mission is to recruit, develop, and serve students of the construction industry by promoting innovative educational pathways to rewarding careers in an inclusive, highly skilled, and prosperous construction workforce. CEF is seeking a flexible, forward-thinking individual to promote and engage the industry in our Careers In Construction (CIC) program. This position is responsible for working directly with the program students, instructors, and administrators to develop relationships with the construction industry. This person is tasked with building a rapport with students who plan on entering the construction industry and guiding them through employment opportunities. Candidates must have an understanding and appreciation for working with students and connecting them to the workforce in construction and related fields. This position will be responsible for utilizing multiple platforms to gain desired results.


· Visit CIC schools to perform recruitment, provide information about entering the construction workforce, provide resume and employability training.

· Determine job readiness of CIC students pursuing construction careers through instructor references and meeting with students.

· Provide one on one training and assistance to students as requested.

· Collect student enrollment statistics and information for grant purposes.

· Monitor student outcomes through:

o Certification numbers

o Project completion

o Engagement in the classroom

· Be a resource to parents of students in construction courses.

· Collaborate with teachers and administrators to connect construction companies to construction classes for presentation and hiring purposes.

· Create social media posts and marketing campaigns promoting CIC.

Position Requirements

· Self-directed and able to work independently.

· Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Able to problem solve effectively in a reactive manner.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to develop and implement presentations and activities for students in a classroom setting.

· Professional in appearance, attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication

· Strong networking skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive

· Experience with a CRM is preferred

· Ability to coordinate volunteers

· Able to achieve objectives through collaboration with staff and administrators.

· Early morning, evening, and weekend work will be an occasional requirement in addition to normal business hours.

· Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel in Colorado.

· High school degree required, college course work or degree preferred

· Able to pass background check

· Comfortable speaking to large groups and engaging with people
