We are interested in people that are comfortable at a computer and in multiple systems. Those who enjoy being on the phone constantly and can stay on task in a busy environment. We are looking for team members that can remain resilient while in a taxing industry with many internal and external customers. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail will be needed. Individuals with customer care, call center backgrounds or experience in a fast-paced service industry will find themselves successful in this position.
The primary responsibility of this position is to take on the support duties for Freight Dispatchers and Carrier Services. Responsibilities include updating customers via phone, email and various web-based portals, tracking of freight shipments with carriers and dispatchers, resolving carrier and customer problems, and building a solid working relationship with all customers in order to understand their total service needs.
Handle all data entry/administrative functions for loads covered
Research and resolve issues regarding freight and billing issues related to shipments
Daily communication with customers and vendors
Track & trace shipments daily
Schedule pick-up & delivery appointments
Other duties as assigned
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
-Working knowledge and ability to self-teach software/system knowledge gaps
- Proven communication skills
- Positive attitude and approach to problem-solving
