Architectural Project Manager (Senior)

This position will provide leadership and direction for project management operations including: project vision and plan creation, operating efficiencies, team evaluation and development, client services, vendor relationships, technology and process development and process systemization.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract requirements with firm leadership and all involved team members
  • Identify projected invoice dates and coordinate with necessary financial managers
  • Prepare work order with Principals and contract administration
  • Maintain oversight of budgeting and spending in the assigned areas of project management and delivery to maximize profitability while delivering desired results
  • Maintain awareness of, and compliance with, operational budget and discipline practices
  • Identify potential changes in project schedule and review potential impacts with design, operations and contract administration team members
  • Review client-initiated changes with Design Principal
  • Review vendor/consultant performance for compliance with contract requirements
  • Maintain direct communication with client / client representative for coordination of work schedule, review meetings, submittals and other project requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Possessing a successful record of project leadership in large scale retail, mixed use and planning projects
  • Relevant experience with project management, budgetary oversight, supplier development, strategic sourcing, forecasting, production and planning
  • Proven understanding of the markets, trends and networks within the Retail, Mixed Use and Urban Planning sectors.
  • Is someone who can take responsibility for your team’s and your project’s success
  • Successful record of developing, leading and managing project scope, schedule and budget
  • Can delegate and supervise the work of others, both in-house as well as outside consultants
  • Can manage day-to-day client and consultant coordination
  • Thorough and well-developed knowledge of building systems and codes
  • Experience in both new construction and renovation/expansion projects

Education, Certification and Training

  • An undergraduate degree in Architecture
  • Architectural Registration is highly desired, but not required
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project and knowledge of other project management software a plus
