United States of America - Virginia, Chantilly **Job Summary** AECOM is seeking an Event Services Supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise all special event set-ups, operations and post-event equipment breakdowns. Responsibilities include supervising, planning, organizing and reviewing the work of Special Events Audio/Visual staff and Utility Cleaners. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: + Coordinate and schedules the activities of the Special Events staff to best utilize labor, materials and A/V equipment. + Ensure that special event equipment, supplies and materials are delivered in a timely manner as to not interrupt daily business. + Ensure that special event areas are clean and presentable prior to events. + Represent AECOM - FRAME Contract by participating in meetings, committees and/or task teams with Client (i.e., Facilities Support) and other government organizations (e.g., OPA, Protocol, etc.). + Manage personnel within Special Events Group including disciplinary actions, training and evaluation of staff performance. + Ensure staff compliance with all company, contract-specific and Client administrative, safety and security policies and procedures. + Oversee the work of subcontractor services. + Confer with the Event Services Manager regarding needed support and corrective actions for any and all operational or personnel issues. + Respond to customer questions and complaints to ensure positive resolution. + Assemble and submit accurate and timely reports as required and needed. + Maintain high Security standards in department at all times. + Report any building deficiencies to BOC. + Ensure all time and attendance records are kept up to date. + Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. + Inspect all equipment for proper operation and ensures all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) is properly accounted for. + Effectively maintain a professional and supportive relationship with all other departments on the FRAME contract. + Willing to work any hours to ensure success of project or event. + Perform related duties as assigned. + Position will report to the Event Services Manager. **Minimum Requirements** + Candidates must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent + Two (2) years of A/V related experience in an auditorium/theatre setting; two (2) years of experience supervising a team of 5 or more + Must be a US citizen and possess a Top Secret clearance with poly + Must be able to direct and motivate staff, and plan and execute work necessary for success while adapting to a demanding and changing environment. + Ability to work as a team player while working cohesively with all levels of Client, contract management and staff personnel to ensure contractual success. + Ability to work independently, analyze situations, make decisions and set/meet deadlines with minimal supervision. + Must know or willing to learn basic budgetary and administrative principles and practices. + Must communicate in an effective and professional manner. + Able to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees and peers. + Must respond to emergencies during off-hours if necessary. **Preferred Qualifications** + Accreditation/certification in A/V fields of study (e.g., tech, CTS, A/V designer, A/V installer, etc) + Proficient in the use of digital audio, video and lighting consoles + Demonstrated knowledge of best practices within the A/V trade + Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with a wide variety of audiences + Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
