Forklift Operator

General Job Description:

Responsible for operating and managing to load and unload materials and deliveries and moving them to and from warehouse areas, machines, and loading docks, into truck or warehouse facilities. 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

 Unload materials from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Transport raw materials to production workstations and pull finished production products from lines.  Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. Securing loads before transportation. Picking and wrapping orders for shipment. Adhering to production schedules.   Recording incoming shipments to the warehouse. 

Minor Duties & Responsibilities:

Operating and managing technical equipment. Identify workplace safety hazards. Adhering to production schedules. Check the conditions and quality of items received. Maintenance of all forklift-related equipment. Ability and skill to maneuver the forklift without a pallet. Knowledge of inventory. 

Qualifications:

Commitment to safety MUST take safety seriously. Comfortable performing physical labor and capable of handling heavy items. Technical skills. Good written and verbal communication. Flexibility. Teamwork. Reliability. High school diploma or GED. Good organizational skills. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Good physical condition. Attention to detail.
