Immigration Paralegal

Our Law firm has an immediate full-time opportunity for a conscientious Immigration Paralegal with experience. If you are bilingual and can speak English and Creole, then you already have an advantage.

You should have the substantive knowledge and experience needed to hit the ground running as a Paralegal. Since we are a small firm, the most important quality you can possess is a great attitude, eagerness to learn, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever it's needed.

Responsibilities

We expect to train you on how we operate within the firm, but you should have:

• Substantive knowledge and experience are needed to hit the ground running as an Immigration Paralegal.
• Possess strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of non-immigrant and immigrant visas
• Handle a high-volume case load while maintaining a high level of productivity
• Ability to prepare immigration applications, including non-immigrant and immigrant visas, petitions, applications for permanent residency
• Liaise with relevant government agencies, analyze, review, and organize documents and data
• Coordinate document production
• Maintain client contact
• Conduct ongoing case tracking and management
• We are looking for an experienced Paralegal with at least 2 years in Immigration Law
• Must be organized and be able to work independently with little or no supervision, and work as part of a team to achieve set goals
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task

Qualifications

These items are non-negotiable:

• Must be available to work office Monday - Friday, [9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.]
• Must be comfortable working with various computer programs, databases, and systems
• Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Must have strong administrative skills and be detail-oriented
• Must be a positive, high-energy team player who is results-oriented - No Drama!

Compensation

$40,000 - $45,000 Yearly
