We are seeking a capable individual to serve as a Technical Support Specialist on the ARNG GI Bill Support Team.
Provide research and analysis of personnel records and data systems to determine ARNG Soldier eligibility for the GI Bill and Kicker Incentive programs and accurately document this eligibility in various ARNG and DoD data systems.
Provide ARNG Education programs guidance counseling by phone, email and to walk-in customers and provide distribution of ARNG education program reference material.
Provide customer service for inquiries regarding verification/determination of eligibility for GI Bill, Kicker Incentive and Transfer of Education Benefit program with Department of Veterans Affairs, DoD, NGB, State, schools, units, and Soldiers.
Provide GI Bill and Kicker Incentive program management assistance to State ARNG Education and Incentive Staff.
Assist in the evaluation, development and implementation of Department of Veteran Affairs, DoD and NGB GI Bill and Kicker program guidance.
Process, monitor, validate, approve, or deny program recoupment actions.
Provide research and submit reports related to GI Bill and Kicker Incentive programs to meet Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, and NGB requirements and objectives.
Provide classroom instruction in GI Bill and Education Services courses.
Travel to conduct and or attend GI Bill and Education Services related courses, presentations, conferences and briefings as requested.
Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Associates degree and 2 years’ experience managing Veterans Administration education programs or 4 years’ experience managing Army National Guard education services or 4 years managing other adult education services. Exceptional customer service, analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
Teaching, instructing, training and education program development a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Database use experience.
Ability to pass necessary background investigation.
