Position Title: HR Generalist

We are seeking a human resources generalist to join our growing organization. In this position you will assist the HR Director & Payroll/Benefits Manager with such tasks as recruiting, managing employee records, keeping, and updating files, assisting with onboarding, processing payroll, and preparing reports as needed. An organized, detail-oriented work ethic is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Posting new jobs on job boards and identifying candidates
§ Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process, preparation of interview file.
§ Administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each employee; maintaining and filing paperwork of new, terminated and exiting employees.
§ Assist with new employee on-boarding including entering information in the payroll & benefit administration systems as needed.
§ Assist with providing information on employee benefits, programs & education.
§ Provide support in tracking of employee leaves of absence.
§ Help in payroll preparation/processing as needed; serves as a backup to payroll manager.
§ Participating / assisting in benefits tasks such as reconciling benefits statements and approving invoices for payment.
§ Serve as an extra point of contact with Subsidiaries / benefit vendors / administrators.
§ Compiling reports/spreadsheets as needed.
§ Assisting with preparation of new employee files, reviewing of new file, completing new hire checklist.
§ Performing file audits to ensure all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
§ Performing payroll/benefit-related reconciliations.
§ Assist during benefits open enrollment.
§ Assisting with benefit election entry into the payroll system and working closely with Payroll Manager, brokers, subsidiaries, employees pre & post open enrollment.
§ A minimum of diploma from a certified high school with at least two years practicable experience in a HR and payroll related function.
§ Very Strong knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
§ Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
§ Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and be able to improve performance through management feedback.
§ Expertise in utilization of MS Word and MS Excel with a credible understanding of state and federal garnishments, withholding and other payroll functions.
