National Accounts Manager

Job Summary

The Catholic National Account Manager is a key member of our Catholic sales organization who drives revenue and profitability for the segment, with portfolios (book of business) exceeding $9 million.  

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Identify and define growth opportunities, and develop corresponding business development plans to drive increased market share, revenue, and total earnings for the assigned market segment. 

  • Co-lead strategic planning process with leadership to develop mutually agreed performance objectives, sales goals and critical milestones.

  • Measure and analyze market conditions, identifying market trends to assess needs for product development and customer retention.

  • Accountable for profit and loss for assigned book of business with budgeting responsibilities.

  • Working in a matrix environment, provide leadership to sales consultants, working collaboratively to ensure alignment of skills and resources dedicated to achieving growth plans. 

  • Service and grow revenues in existing Archdiocese/Diocese accounts and obtain new accounts in the Catholic market segment. 

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending trade shows, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.

  • Perform other duties not otherwise listed as required by the company.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related with 8-10 years of sales experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Should possess an understanding of the needs of the Catholic market segment
  • Should possess an understanding of customer drivers and markets, and ability to align actions/strategies accordingly
  • Proven success of obtaining and maintaining enterprise level accounts
  • Strategic / enterprise selling experience
  • Ability to think analytically and make decisions based on analyses
  • Goal- and results-focused individual who is skilled at building relationship to achieve those goals
  • Proven ability to build lasting, trustful relationships
  • Excellent, demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, with effective, persuasive communication ability, both verbally and written
  • 25-50% travel
