Operations Manager

ACRT Pacific has an opportunity for an Operations Manager in the Bay Area region of PG&Es Service Territory! This is a great career opportunity! This Manager will be responsible for managing different lines of business within the project (Routine Maintenance, Emergency Work, Enhanced Vegetation Management, Transmission, Second Patrol). Operations Managers plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the operations of ACRT Pacific; Serve as the liaison between the field, corporate office, and the client; Ensure operational and corporate objectives are accomplished through safety, productivity, work quality, project execution, and maintaining profitability.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attending and conducting meetings to ensure the terms and conditions of the contract are being met
  • Capable of starting new contracts and assisting sales team.
  • Must be willing to travel (potentially overnight) when required for meeting and project start-ups.
  • Reviewing and approving time sheets, managing profitability, ensuring, and maintaining quality control for workforce and resource utilization and planning
  • Supervising and training employees
  • Attaining profit and quality objectives
  • Assisting Senior Operations Manager, Director of Operations and President
  • Coordinating work and utility vegetation schedules
  • Monitoring local budget
  • Preparing documents, reports, analysis, action plans and presentations

Requirements:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Natural Resources or related field preferred
  • 1 year supervisory experience in Utility Vegetation Management in lieu of degree
  • At least 3 years in utility forestry industry is required; Routine Compliance experience desired
  • ISA Certification required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Candidate is required to live within area of responsibility or relocate within a reasonable distance if not, relocation within 90 days
  • Ability to work with and learn computer programs and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
