The Senior Logistics Specialist will provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) program management and life-cycle logistics support services in the acquisition and sustainment for specified weapons systems, sub-systems, and Support Equipment (SE) to Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Sustainment Group (NSG), NAVAIR supported Program Executive Office (PEO) Program Offices, Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWC-WD) customers.

This position is contingent upon contract award


The Senior Logistics Specialist will be responsible for:

+ Provides direct support to program office APMLs, Deputy APMLs, PSMs, LEMs, and other government logistics subject matter experts for respective organizations.

+ Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems.

+ Works on logistics and maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as:

+ Technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirements and resources

+ Development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans

+ Systems acquisition requirements analysis

+ Budgetary or financial analysis and control

+ Lifecycle cost (LCC) analysis and control

+ Weapons systems (hardware and software) standardization and compatibility

+ Integrated Product Support (IPS)/ Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning and execution

+ Integrated Product Support (IPS)/ Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program management analysis.

+ Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.

+ Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

+ Performing other duties as assigned


+ Master's degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Management, Business, or Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in acquisition logistics support or maintenance engineering, of which, 4 years must have included technical analysis of logistics acquisition requirements analysis


+ A Bachelor's degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Management, Business, or Engineering with an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Master's degree

+ Demonstrated ability to independently perform IPS studies, analysis, and evaluations in support of DoD weapons systems or equipment, both air vehicle and avionics

+ Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures; demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series.

+ Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.

+ Knowledgeable of NAVAIR logistics and maintainability programs and processes

+ Ability to write technically

+ Ability to work within a team and solve problems collectively

+ Ability to communicate at all levels of command chain


+ DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics and/or Program Management preferred

+ Life Cycle Costing experience desired

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
