Field Technician - Scales Service

ABM Equipment Inc. / A-1 Scale Co is looking for several Scale Field Service Technicians. We are based out of Vancouver, WA, and work primarily in the Portland/Vancouver area with service offered all over Oregon and Washington States.

Our daily routes can take us from a medical facility to a metal recycling plant. Our technicians will become experts in a wide range of scales, balances, and scaling systems.

Scale Service Technicians are responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating these scales and their systems including electric scales, mechanical scales, scale printers, check-weighers, lab balances, truck scales, silo scales, factory assembly line scale automation equipment, etc.

To qualify for this position, you must have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal mediums. You must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, the ability to lift 50 pounds of weight with each arm and have the desire to learn and continually improve. Experience with hand tools, basic voltmeter troubleshooting, and reading schematics is a plus. We will provide you with on the job training.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with potential for overtime based out of Vancouver, WA Pre-Employment Drug Screening, DMV record check, and background check are required. If this job appeals to you in any way, please submit your resumé!
