Job Description

Job Duties,

The executive assistant will provide administrative support services to Dennis Jenkins, the Owner, his spouse Jennifer Jenkins, and all executive level staff in this family-owned company.

Beginning in 1949 in San Antonio, ABC Home & Commercial Services of DFW began in the DFW market in 1989 and has 240+ employees. ABC provides skilled services to homeowners and businesses alike. Beginning as a pest control service, ABC has expanded it's offerings through the years to include HVAC, Plumbing, Handyman, Lawn, and irrigation services as well as pool maintenance and repair and is actively looking to enter Electrical. All services are provided by specialists in their own field and are all direct employees of ABC and not sub-contractors. The owner and his wife are also deeply engaged with an internal organization called "Anteater Advocates" and coordination of activities and events with this internal organization will also be required.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently and use judgement & initiative in all area's & aspects of day-to-day operations and communications with the executive staff. The candidate will also need to be able to meet timelines and use discretion in areas of a sensitive nature. Time management will be a priority in this position along with attention to detail especially in areas that require travel itineraries & reservations. Assistance outside of the office with the private activities and needs of the family are required as well with this position.

Special assignments involving research and data collection and compiling of information into reports will also be required. Excellent computer skills and knowledge will be required. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage multitasking, be able to prioritize events and duties to maximum effectiveness to ensure that meetings and appointments are met every time.

When dealing with visitors and all company employees the candidate must be friendly & outgoing. Having the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing are essential to this position. The candidate should possess the ability to adapt to change and maintain their composure during these times.

Education: While college is a definite plus it is not a requirement. References from past employers will be required at least two. Salary range for the position is $55,000 - $65,000
