Maintenance Mechanic- Hiring Bonus

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Pay: $23-30/hr DOE plus applicable shift differentials

JOB SUMMARY:

Rebuild, repair, and maintain in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications on all plant equipment. The performance of this job ensures that the facility runs efficiently to complete production requirements.Machinery must be maintained, avoiding downtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

• Understands and follows plant safety and procedures
• Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing
• Wears appropriate protective equipment as required, dresses and conducts self in a safe manner
• Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S
• Participates in plant safety objectives

Job Functions

• Supports company mission, vision and goals.
• Able to work with sense of urgency and prioritizing task
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment and testing instruments
• Observe mechanical and electrical devices in operation to locate cause of trouble
• Dismantle devices to gain access to remove defective parts
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
• Repair, replace or rebuild necessary parts to make machine function safely
• Start device to test performance
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all machines and equipment for proper operation
• Use prints and drawings provided by the manufacturer and the engineering department for the rebuilding procedures
• Lay out electrical panels from drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions, which would include microprocessors, relays, etc
• Set up and operate drill press, grinder, welding, and cutting equipment to make and/or repair parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Observe company safety rules, regulations, and policies
• Perform, as assigned, other similar or related duties
• May be required to work other shifts and over-time
• Help maintain an orderly and clean working environment
• Forklift certification required.Must have clean driving record
• Interprets and reacts to data trends on available up time, mean time between repairs

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

• High School Education, GED or Equivalent
• Must have 2 years post-secondary technical training or 5 years industrial maintenance experience

Skills and/or Training:

• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Standing throughout the shift and performing other duties on the production floor needing completion
• Able to demonstrate a high level of ownership to assigned tasks
• Working knowledge of components, part numbers and process involved in manufacturing
• Must be able to:
• Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
• Lift up to 40 Pounds
• Stand for long periods
• Good hand dexterity
• Ability to speak and write in clear English communications
