Our Commercial Account Manager works closely with our Commercial Agents, and other agency personnel to assemble, market and place coverage for clients. Assists clients with assessing coverage needs and uses each contact as an opportunity to review the account, round it and market.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Previous Insurance experience required.
Known for collaboration skills, attention to detail, and customer care.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and personal lines insurance including fundamental insurance principles, underwriting and risk selection, and policy provisions.
Self-starter and ability to self-manage – ability to manage time and priorities.
Anticipate, meet, and/or exceed customer needs, wants and expectations.
Willing to take extra measures and independent action to solve problems and get work done when the situation(s) calls for it while holding self and others accountable.
Ability to build rapport and trust and relate well to clients and team associates.
Takes initiative in learning to stay current in role and industry.

Provides technical support to staff regarding markets, business processes, and systems.

Bachelors/Associates degree preferred or equivalent proven work experience.
Proven track record in Property and Casualty commercial account management.
Knowledge of insurance industry and technologies including agency management systems, quoting and carrier systems.
Proficient in using MS Office.
Performs comprehensive analysis of commercial accounts, identifies and communicates coverage gaps and makes recommendations that will enhance the security and peace of mind of our member insureds.
Prepares proposals and completes applications in coordination with agents and in compliance with business processes, procedures, and standards.
Performs annual reviews and appropriately addresses any changes in the insurance needs of our members; fields inbound calls; sells new commercial business and retains existing accounts; provides quality sales and service to AAA Washington’s members and insurance customers.
Assists with the Commercial Insurance and/or Commercial Qualified Agent, and other referral sources from the agency in determining the appropriate market for the risk.
Submits applications to appropriate carriers, obtains client signatures on all applications and follows through to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
Attends to clients’ needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items and verifies their accuracy.
Provides input and feedback to the Account Executive and/or Division Manager on workflow, processes, and service expectations to better meet clients’ needs and work most effectively within the business.
