Our Senior IT Field Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the computing and printing environments by providing onsite hardware and software system support. The individual will provide hardware diagnostics and repair on laptops, desktops, printers, network, telephony and server equipment for field sites/offices and users. Maintains assent inventory in branches, Call Center and Headquarters for all computing devices.
Responsible for the overall integrity of the End User Computing operation. This includes software patching, application releases and desktop application delivery.
Configures field sites/offices with networking equipment including routers, switches, wireless access points, computers, printers and any IT hardware maintained at a field site.
Install, support and maintain operating systems and applications for Windows, iOS and Android platforms, both locally and remotely.
Diagnoses hardware and software issues and replaces defective components.
Perform resolution of escalated requests for desktop support via phone, email and customers desk.
Coordinates and collaborates with IT staff on projects, tasks and day to day activities.
Provides remote assistance to users throughout the organization.
Supports the role out of new hardware (desktops/laptops/MACs/printers, POS systems) to users.
Responds to requests received via telephone, helpdesk tickets, email or a combination of these.
Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of moderately complex hardware and software products.
Server/network knowledge and skills.
Advanced proficiency with Windows, iOS and Android platforms.
Network experience 1-3 years.
Advanced knowledge of MS SCCM required (imaging and software deployment).
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instruction given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
Experience with DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong commitment to teamwork.
Must have superior customer service and customer relationship building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Education & Experience/Licenses & Certification
Relevant experience, training and/or Associate Degree Certification(s) and/or MCSE Certifications.
7 years field/desktop support experience.
