This Business Analyst role supports the overall A3 Smart Home strategy and corporate objectives by performing analysis used in identification of business needs to assist in determining solutions to problems or processes. Incumbents work under general supervision, conduct and document most operational, product, and financial activities across business units, rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. May participate in larger projects and/or assume responsibility for a portion of the project.

Essential Functions

With guidance from more experienced analysts, performs analytical activities including developing operational reports, providing business insights/recommendations, and interpreting current financial and business reports.

Partners with the business operations to prioritize tasks and provide fact-based recommendations in support of operational priorities.

Maintains the appropriate standard reports, models, and operating procedures.

Documents existing policy, procedures, and processes and increases knowledge of business unit deliverables.


Intermediate to advanced SQL query building

Strong mathematical skills needed

Critical thinking

Analytical and organizational skills

Business communications (written, verbal)
Programming language experience, i.e. Python, (preferred)

Basic understanding of operational / product / financial concepts as they apply to business unit, AAA, and home/commercial security industry (preferred)

Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification

Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience

0 - 2 years experience conducting operational, financial and/or business analysis
