Lead Automotive Technician

Our Car Care division is looking for a responsible Automotive Master Technician with at least 5 years of diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair experience. In this position, you'll provide diagnostic and major repair services to member vehicles, helping to get AAA members back on the road in a safe and timely manner. As an Automotive Master Technician, you'll represent our organization's commitment to safety and quality. You will:

  • Help AAA Members get back on the road with confidence
    • Diagnostics and Repair – Ensure the proper and safe functioning of brake systems, suspension system, cooling system, air conditioning system, starting and charging system, electrical system, fuel system and ignition, and onboard system
    • Service and Maintenance – Provide general vehicle maintenance, tire installation and repairs, fluid maintenance services, and NC state inspections
    • Wheel Alignment – Understand theory and application
    • Major Repairs – Perform engine, transmission, driveline, and other repairs

Required qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years in an approved repair facility
  • ASE Master Certified or Factory Certified Equivalent
  • Scan Tool and Drive-ability Proficient
  • Possess own tools for use in shop
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, Saturday Availability, 50 hour average work week

  • This position involves sitting, standing, walking and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing lifting, and carrying typical office equipment, averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight.

  • Finger and hand dexterity is required for frequent and continuous operation of all office equipment
  • Normal or corrected hearing to the level of ability to receive detailed information orally and to accurately understand normal conversations, both in person and on the telephone
