We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in the field of bioinformatics to help advance our Tmod™ platform.
In this role you will work closely with members of the Discovery Research team, including the CSO, in a very collaborative team environment to help discover and develop innovative cell therapies. The successful candidate will be a bioinformatician/computational biologist with a deep understanding of biological phenomena, or an experimentalist with a solid background in bioinformatics/computational biology. You will join us at our research facility in Agoura Hills, CA and work in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. We will consider a remote or hybrid assignment for this position. There is also flexibility around job title depending on your level of experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Application of modern techniques in bioinformatics and statistical analysis to advance discovery programs. Mining and analysis of large data sets, including gene-expression (e.g., RNAseq) and next generation sequencing (NGS) data. Work cross-functionally to identify and validate disease targets and interrogate drug safety. Requirements Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3+ years of scientific experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years of scientific experience Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Genomics or related area. Familiarity with NGS methods, and hands-on experience with NGS data handling and analysis. Experience with large-scale data mining from data repositories (eg.
TCGA, GTEx, etc) and data analysis. Proficiency in at least two programming languages (eg. Python, Java etc). Understanding of mathematics/statistical concepts and hands-on experience with tools (eg. R, Matlab etc).
Ability to develop customized bioinformatics tools is a plus. Hands-on experience working in the laboratory is a plus.
