HR Generalist

Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
· Assist in onboarding of new employees including pre-hire screenings and post hire orientation/trainings.
· Assist with Leave and Workers Compensation cases
· Assist with benefit questions
· Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
· Assist with preparation of the performance review process
· Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
· Assist in developing and revising HR policies and procedures
· Assist in evaluating and identifying training needs for staff
· Work on special projects as needed
Requirements:
· Knowledge of HRIS – Ultipro or similar
· Fluent use of Excel, Word, email
· Effective communication and organizational skills
· Ability to handle reasonable conflicting deadlines
· Manage pre-hire process (pre-hire screening/paperwork and new hire packets)
· Process FMLA and WC claims as reported
· Answer management and employee questions, requests
· Provide backup to HR Supervisor as needed.
