Job Description:


ASG is seeking a Technical Lead- Data Scientist AI/ML in support of our new VIPER program delivering cutting-edge software solutions for our customer, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, as well as experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models and deep understanding of NLP, data science and analytics.


Responsibilities:

  • Leading, Developing and implementing data models and algorithms to analyze large datasets.
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns, correlations, and trends and generate insights and reports using statistical methods.
  • Develop and deploy AI and ML algorithms to extract meaningful insights from data and support decision-making.
  • Developing and testing predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Design and implement ML models that can be used to automatically solve complex problems.
  • Work on training and retraining ML models and be able to automate the process.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers and other stakeholders to design and implement AI/ML solutions.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing AI/ML systems to improve performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain software systems that integrate AI/ML algorithms and processes.
  • Monitor and analyze performance of AI/ML systems and suggest improvements.
  • Building data pipelines to automate data processing and analysis
  • Collaborating with other data scientists and engineers to build efficient data architectures.
Requirements:

Requirement:


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Math, or Data Science, with 8 or more years of experience in practicing AI/ML and Data Science.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, Deep learning and computer vision..
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/pySpark/R/Scala and hands on on analytics tools SQL, NoSql and documentDB, Taleau or BI
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloud computing AWS and Sagemaker
  • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards, experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
  • Expertise in deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, recommender system, etc.
  • Experience in leading large scale data science projects and delivering from end to end.
  • Experience with building data pipelines, model framework and model deployment.
  • Hands-on experience in building machine learning and statistical models using Python, PySpark, Machine Learning libraries, SQL.
  • Experience in data management and data analysis in a relational database, Hadoop and Spark.
  • Ability to conduct research work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Shall possess strong architecture & design experience, including at least three (5) years of experience deploying production enterprise applications in AWS that use AI/ML.
  • Shall possess strong hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, and API platforms such as Apigee.
  • Shall have experience in large-scale, high-performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS
  • Able to present articulately at client meetings.
  • Great project and client management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and ability to identify and measure KPIs
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and have critical thinking capabilities.

Technical Skills:


  • Extremely strong hands-on Python, R, and NLP tools with knowledge in Excel & VBA Skills.
  • Expert knowledge in AWS, open-source tool stack.
  • Hands-on expertise in MS Office Suite-PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
  • Experience in report designing & visualization tools such as AWS Quick Sight, Tableau, etc.
  • Advanced AI/ML tools, including low code, no code, RPA tools.

Analytics Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and report on complex data.
  • Should be comfortable with numerical and quantitative calculations and analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, organization, and time management skills.


Team & Leadership Skills:

  • Have worked in large (150+ personnel) remote teams.
  • Highly motivated individuals eager to work and contribute to a team-based environment.
  • Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional client communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to present articulately at client meetings.
  • Great project and client management skills.

Preferred:

  • 8+ years work experience as a Data Science, Machine Learning and or in a related field.
  • Ph.D. or Master Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math or Data Science, with 4 or more years of experience in practicing machine
  • Any Cloud certifications but specially AWS Certification
  • Broad knowledge of statistical methodology and strong understanding of industry practices related to the statistical analysis is preferred
  • Knowledge of DHS/USCIS, Federal client domain.
  • Human-Centered Design (HCD) expertise.
  • Product Management experience.

Must to Have:

  • US Citizen
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS, Sagemaker, Sagemaker Studio, Glue interactive, AWS Data Wrangler
  • Proficient in Python, pySpark or Scala
  • Excellent knowledge of Different Machine Learning Libraries and Deep Learning Packages
  • Commanding skills with Tensorflow, Pytorch and other deep learning framework
  • Having depth knowledge of ML Model Deployments
