A New Leaf’s Dorothy B. Mitchell Counseling Center (DBMCC) offers community-based behavioral health services for children, youth, and their families. Counseling, case management, medication management, and support services are provided to children, youth, and their families throughout Maricopa County.
The outpatient clinics provide services to enrolled children and youth, from birth through 17 years of age, and offer support to their families regarding their presenting concerns as they relate to behavioral health and the family’s social wellness. Presenting issues addressed may include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, substance use, and trauma-related issues, such as abuse, neglect, and domestic violence.
A New Leaf is currently seeking a full time Clinician to work Monday - Friday with flexibility for evenings to meet client needs.
We have a bilingual English / Spanish position available.
Salary: $43,000.00/yr + Bilingual incentive up to $1.60/hr
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
•Provide individual, group and/or family counseling in office or in-home setting in accordance with Client/Family strengths and needs.
•Provide initial assessments and case management services. Develop individualized service, crisis and safety plans.
•Evaluate and continually monitor client/family progress in meeting goals and anticipated outcomes.
•Provide clinical expertise to the Child and Family Team or other collaborative base model and serve as a point of contact and communication while working in congruence with the team process.
•Provide varied verbal and physical crisis intervention and counseling.
•Responsible for administrative and clinical issues regarding admission, discharge and utilization management issues.
•Maintain clinical records in accordance with all local, state and federal laws and A New Leaf policy and procedures.
•Update complete staffing notes for multi-disciplinary clinical team reviews.
•Responsible for meeting target encounter values as defined by Clinical Leadership.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
•Master’s degree in behavioral health related field required; Associate or Independent license with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health (LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT, etc.) preferred.
•Bilingual English / Spanish required.
•Possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, a clean 39-month motor vehicle record and current auto liability insurance.
•Have a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card or be able to pass various background checks in order to obtain one.
•Proficiency with personal computers and applicable software programs.
•Skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
•Demonstrate and provide strong communications skills both verbally and in writing.
•Be committed to teamwork and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
