Summary:

Rainforest Distribution Corp. is a full-service food & beverage distributor with a passion for brand-building. We focus on innovative, healthy, perishable, local, and emerging brands that require incubation.  We're a fast-paced, rapidly growing company seeking for a qualified and motivated diesel mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and run our shop with regular vehicles and commercial trucks.

Duties/Responsibilities are but not limited to…

·         Diesel mechanic performs maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil change, checks tires and brakes, balancing tires, replaces glow plugs and engages in other similar tasks.

·         Repair electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.

·         Cleans the shop and returns tools to proper location.

·         Maintains inventory of replacement parts, update maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.

·         Performs preventive maintenance tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Knowledge of vehicle and commercial truck repair.

·         Excellent mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to use power and hand tools (tester, soldering iron, etc.)

·         Ability to run diagnostic scans (Diesel Laptop Diagnostic Knowledge)

·         Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.

·         Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

·         Must be able to work with current climate.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday)

Experience: minimum of 3 years

Salary Range: $75,000 (salary based off performance after 3 months)
