A community outreach company is seeking an In-House Substance Abuse Counselor, Manager, to work with mental health and substance abuse clients. The position requires a strong individual that can provide a variety of services, such as case management and outreach interventions, to clients in their natural environment. The clinician will review and revise initial assessments, conduct weekly meetings with assigned clients, monitor client progress and compliance with treatment. Documentation is submitted on a daily basis. The clinician will serve as an advocate in assisting clients in accessing community resources, as well as modeling self-help and coping skills. Clinician will participate in treatment team meetings four times a week, provide client assessments, complete treatment plans and MICPS for State approval. Clinician will work closely with area hospitals, jails, and shelter. The applicant must have strong communication skills, writing skills and reliable transportation. The position is Monday–Friday however applicants must be flexible. Salary for this position is based on education and experience.
• CAC certification level I or II for the State of Georgia is required. MAC, CAC-II, CADC, CCADC, GCADC (II, III)
