Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Distribution/Operations Analyst, you play an important role in our organization’s planning and execution of projects and reporting capabilities.   Reporting to the VP of Customer Fulfillment, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely, and high-quality operational analysis and provide strategic support.   You will be tasked with collecting data, conduct analysis, and make recommendations or proposals to improve our distribution and operations eco-system.  In this exiting role, you will conduct studies to discover ways to reduce costs, improve processes and optimize output in support of our key operations in our facility in Manteca, California that include distribution operations, customer service, and our custom shop.   

Your goal would be to drive dynamic reporting, operations KPI improvements, identify gaps in our operations (internal/external) processes, and collaborate with key team members to work towards continuous improvement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain reporting of operational KPIs and analysis to identify opportunities to enhance current processes driven by performance and cost.

- Identify trends in operations through data analysis and make recommendations.

- Create recommendations/proposals to implement improvement methods through data analysis  

- Work directly with Manteca operations department directors to support special projects as needed.  

- Collaborate with key members internal and external stakeholders and vendor partners. 

- Build project plans for key initiatives projects/product corrections and other special projects.

- Develops or assists with continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity and customer services.

- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications and experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

- 6-10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing environment performing analytical and/or process improvement work.

- Problem-solving mindset and working knowledge of DC operations and evaluating work processes for efficiency.

- Familiarity with roles and processes from inbound, put-away, replenishment, picking to outbound management.  

- Experience in fast moving SKU-intensive apparel consumer goods in multi-channel business highly desirable but not required. 

- Strong data analytical skills and able to manage large amounts of data to analyze and translate into key business insights. 

- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines; able to balance short-term, urgent needs with long-term strategic initiatives

- Time study, work measurement, and /or data collection experience for the development of engineered labor standards is desirable  

- Strong communication skills written and verbal to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization. 

- Exposure or experience in machine learning, predictive analytics, or data science desired but not required.  

- Proficient in managing priorities, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

- Understanding and practical knowledge of ERP’s, WMS, and production systems. 

- Experience with analytical tools and reporting systems (eg. Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.).   Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus

- Proficient in common office computer software – Advanced Excel & PowerPoint

- Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Self-directed and able to work under pressure and in ambiguous environment
