At Transamerican Auto Parts (TAP), a fully-owned subsidiary of Polaris (a Fortune 1000 company), we know off-road and performance auto-parts. We are a leading auto parts wholesaler and retailer, operating over 95 stores across the US and Canada, as well as our websites, 4wheelparts.com and 4WD.com.
We are looking for dynamic students to join our HR (Total Rewards) Internship Program at our headquarters in Compton. This program is designed to accelerate career development for upcoming college graduates who wish to build a foundation of business knowledge and leadership skills. Our 12-week internship allows you the opportunity to gain exposure to facets of the HR functions such as Employee Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, and HRIS.
This program will help you uncover your potential for leadership, develop your skills and give you the opportunity to participate in impactful capacities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
During this 12-week paid internship, you will have exposure to multiple areas of business to gain real-world experience in working in a HR Total Rewards department. As a Total Rewards Intern, you will learn about the important role Benefits plays in supporting employers, employees, and their families. In addition, you will learn how pay is determined in organizations.
Upon completion of the internship program, interns who demonstrate exceptional performance and a passion to learn may be offered an additional internship or a full-time position, depending on graduation date eligibility.
You will be placed into an assignment based on interest and business need, in any of the following areas:
•Benefits administration including enrollments, leaves of absences, benefits budget, and wellness initiatives.
•Compensation including conducting salary analysis, drafting official job descriptions, and classifying positions.
•HR data administration including auditing employee data, hiring candidate within IS system, generating HR reports.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
•Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or other related field.
•Prior internship experience preferred
•Leadership experience to include work, classroom, club, organization
•Proven strength in the following: analysis, creative problem solving and communication
•Intermediate Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
•Standard office environment
