Operations Manager

A world class logistics partner is searching for an outstanding Operations Manager for an immediate opening. Specializing in dedicated and multi-client Third Party Logistics sites, we provide services to a variety of national brands across the United States, and we would love for you to join our team.

As our Operations Manager, you will use your multiple years of experience to lead teams in daily operations, leading the warehouse as a whole, work heavily with our distribution team, and maintain some contact with our clients. We want a candidate that brings the added value of being able to discover problems and put into place action plans to correct any problems or issues to maintain steady flow for our clients.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead your team by giving instructions and setting a good working example on the floor.

- Train employees as they come onboard.

- Interview and hire new hourly employees as the need arises.

- Hold your team accountable for KPIs which can include, but is not limited to on time shipping, accuracy and receiving.

- Continuous monitoring of operations for improvement possibilities.

- Assist your manager when it comes to budget processes, P&L, and labor costs.

- Perform other duties as expected of any employee as they come up.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

- At least 2-5 years of leadership experience in warehousing, 1st party or 3rd party distribution, or logistics.

- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, however, a blend of education and experience is gladly accepted for the right candidate.

- Prior experience in MS Office products, as well as WMS products in previous warehouses.

- Experience managing from the floor; working while leading.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Physical ability to stand for multiple hours at a time, and a mix of sitting and standing at different times.

- Attention to detail and process driven focus

- Ability to lift, carry, pull, push, and otherwise handling products that weigh anywhere from 5lbs to 60lbs.

- Understanding that this is a warehouse, and you will be exposed to differentiating temperatures, noise, dirt/dust, moving equipment, and industrial truck traffic.
