Senior IT Business Analyst

This role facilitates requirements gathering, process documentation, testing coordination, and training development. Business Analysts work closely with the Project Manager and Core Team Members to achieve intended business results.
Performs requirements gathering sessions and analysis via user groups, interviews, and research.
Elicits, organizes, analyzes, documents, and communicates business requirements.
Analyzes business needs and processes for information technology projects.
Completes Process Definition Documents for identified workflows.
Documents “as-is” process workflows in Visio.
Works with the stakeholders to document "to-be" processes based on industry standards.
Identifies gaps and develops plans to achieve desired conditions.
Monitors changes to project artifacts (requirements documents, design documents, code, test plans/scenarios and data migration plans) according to documented change management processes.
Coordinates and/or participates in user acceptance testing.
Develops or assists with the development of user manual and training materials; and conducts training sessions; Addresses questions and resolves problems related to software applications; and provides technical assistance regarding new or updated applications.
High level of sound logic and analytical ability to analyze difficult domains.
Highly developed oral and written communications skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employee and elicit work output.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise, and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers, and staff.
Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
Presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists.
Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project to management when necessary, and to advocate for responsible solutions to project problems.
Ability to work with team members across a multitude of disparate, remote Operating Companies to understand and document processes.
- Knowledge of HR/payroll ERP systems, including experience in implementations
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization.
Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, organizational structure, etc.
Ability to diagram ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process workflows in Visio.
Experience with Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook.
Experience working with Viewpoint Vista
Minimum 5 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst.
Materials industry experience is a plus.
Experience with Novatime timekeeping software is a plus.
