JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on multiple renovation/construction projects in the multifamily industry. Projects include, but are not
limited to: clubhouse renovations, interior rehabs, exterior paint, roof replacements, and amenities improvements. Some extended travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Assist in the review and supervision of projects to ensure quality control and scope are adhered to, projects are finished on time and within budget
● Assist in the management of task lists and construction calendars
● Assist in the supervision of crews and trade contractors
● Ensure work adheres to scope and quality
● Enforce safety rules and ensure workers have the right tools, knowledge, and materials to perform the job correctly
● Maintain clean and safe working environments
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum 2 years of construction experience
● Experienced with computers and smartphones
● Demonstrated management skills
● Valid Drivers License
● Ability to motivate
● Extensive professional experience requiring an ability to communicate effectively as a leader
● Ability to resolve issues arising in construction projects
● High energy, initiative, persistence, and demonstrated skills as self-starter
