Regional Sales Manager (Animal Health/Diagnostic exp. req.) Description
Our client in the life sciences industry is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to add to their team and oversee their Northeast territory. When you are not traveling around your territory, you will be working from your home office. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will nurture existing accounts while driving additional business opportunities to grow their diagnostic testing and services within the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, and CRO markets. Although this territory has an established customer base, 80% of your time will be spent hunting new business. Because you will be meeting with various healthcare professionals including scientists, researchers, and laboratory animal veterinarians so a background in life sciences is a must. Whether you have sales experience within this industry or are looking to make a career change after working in a laboratory, our client is looking for someone who has a consultative, value-added approach and can easily build rapport with internal and external customers. Regional Sales Manager (Animal Health/Diagnostic exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Sustain existing client base and develop new business
• Collaborate with clients on their projects and upsell products and services
• Prepare and follow up on quotes and bids
• Meet with clients both virtually and in-person to secure new opportunities
• Complete all sales administration and update the CRM
• Participate in business reviews and strategize using market feedback
• Respond to customer billing questions and ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Provide annual forecasting and perform regular reviews for the region
• Meet or exceed sales targets monthly, quarterly, and annually
Regional Sales Manager (Animal Health/Diagnostic exp. req.) Qualifications
• 2 + years of sales in the animal health/diagnostic field
• Ability and willingness to travel 40% including overnights
