Production Engineering Manager (Aerospace/Space exp req)
Location: Merritt Island, FL
Salary: $130,000 - $145,000 + 15% Bonus
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Short/Long term disability, 401k w/ match, generous PTO
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: M-F 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexible)

Production Engineering Manager (Aerospace/Space exp req) Description

Our client in the Aerospace industry is looking for an AIT Production Engineering Manager to add to their team in Merritt Island, FL. You will be responsible for leading the activities for the production team that coordinates and execute the AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) activities and managing the daily performance and execution of the production floor for the assigned programs. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability and willingness to work flexible hours and weekends to meet production goals. Ideal candidates will have experience in highly technical production assembly environments in the aerospace or space industries. Production Engineering Manager (Aerospace/Space exp req) Responsibilities

●    Manage integration and testing of spacecraft
●    Lead resolution of any issues that are impeding nominal production
●    Act as a point of contact to coordinate the resolution of issues
●    Drive a safety and quality first culture on the production team
●    Use existing data/develop tools to create actionable information to drive improvement
●    Develop tools to create actionable information to drive improvement
●    Oversee the characterization, coordination, and timely implementation of non-nominal activities
●    Manage production activity
●    Define and maintain the AIT resource plan
●    Monitor and report the execution and progress of the AIT plan
●    Plan and execute on headcount need to support the department
●    Support managerial and supervisory tasks as needed
●    Provide guidance, coaching, and progressive development actions to team members

Production Engineering Manager (Aerospace/Space exp req) Qualifications

●    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
●    8+ years of experience in a space or aerospace production environment required
●    3+ years of Production Assembly Management experience required
●    3+ years of Production Flow Management experience required
●    ERP software experience required 
●    Jira or similar issue tracking tools experience required
