Process Engineering Manager Description

Our client in the design for manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Process Engineering Manager to add to their team near Everett, WA. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage scheduling, coordinating and supervising the work of all Engineering department operatives as well as oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, ensuring the process delivers functional and quality projects safely while meeting project objectives. Our client is looking for someone with at least five years’ experience in an engineering role in lean manufacturing and at least four years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in process improvement. Ideal candidates will possess excellent problem-solving, organizational and mathematic skills with a high level of attention to detail. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to motivate and lead by example, fostering a culture of positivity and encouragement with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills. Process Engineering Manager Responsibilities

•    Lead the continuous improvement of design and development of new and existing hardware and products; ensure effective integration into the production process
•    Drive On-Time-Delivery (OTD) and Quality metric targets; develop strategies that drive measurable yield improvement, production efficiency, risk reduction and process improvement
•    Demonstrate department’s compliance with ISO standards, FDA regulations and quality system
•    Read, interpret and adhere to drawings, blueprints, commercial aviation wire diagrams, manufacturing specifications, work instructions, regulations, manuals and quality procedures
•    Participate in management meetings, report on key metrics and performance statistics
•    Hire, manage and train employees; assist in performance improvement and achieving objectives
•    Work with vendors, design engineers, production and customers, to continuously deliver parts designed for manufacturability, reliability, source-ability and monitor the progress of work
•    Adhere to environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives

Process Engineering Manager Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
•    5+ years in engineering role with lean manufacturing experience required
•    4+ years of supervisory/management in manufacturing environment experience required
•    Proven track record in process improvement experience required
•    Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
•    AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS experience required
•    CAM software (GibbsCAM, Mastercam, etc) & statistical analysis software experience a plus
•    Lean/Six Sigma Certification and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate preferred
