Location: San Jose, California
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 + Benefits
Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401K, PTO, Holidays
Job Type: Full-Time
Typical Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Accounting/HR Manager Description

Our client in the technology manufacturing industry is looking for an Accounting/HR Manager to add to their team in San Jose, California. This leadership role within the organization primarily focuses on accounting (70%) but will also support general HR (30%) functions with the assistance of two outside consulting firms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting best practices and hands-on experience executing closing the month in a timely and efficient manner. Prior experience working within manufacturing is preferred but not required. To be successful in this role, you must be a team player with outstanding communication and people skills that leads with confidence, integrity, and an open-door policy. Accounting/HR Manager Responsibilities

• Responsible for successfully closing each month within the allotted time frame
• Process employee payroll
• Prepare financial statements: Income, balance sheets, and cash flow
• Account reconciliation
• Manage A/R and A/P personnel to ensure receipt of cash and payment of bills
• Metrics assessment and reporting
• Ensure bookkeeping is accurate and in compliance with state and federal laws
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain confidential/secure storage of financial information and personnel records
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Supervise HR activities including communications, benefits, documents, and requests
• Support employees and/or company leadership with HR issues that arise
• Oversee exit interviews and procedures

Accounting/HR Manager Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
• 10+ years of accounting experience required
• Hands on experience with month end closed required
• General HR knowledge related to payroll, benefits, and state laws required
• COVID vaccination required
• Travel within California quarterly for 1-2 days required
