Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic boat and yacht Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Salesperson, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, building lasting customer relationships, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Positive shopper and client service is our number one goal.

Duties

  • Engage with customers to understand their boating and yachting needs and provide a tailored boat buying experience.
  • Have previous earnings of $150,000 to $200,000 per year in sales.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to encourage purchases.
  • Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge and be an expert of our product lines.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the dealer management system.
  • Manage the sales and delivery process, including coordinating with the service department and external subcontractors as needed.
  • Follow up with and manage customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction, foster loyalty, and make sure they are comfortable in their boat or yacht. We work hard to keep customers out of the shop and on the water.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and enhance store performance.
  • Assist in obtaining content and photography for online social media and marketing efforts.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
  • Participate in events such as boat shows, open houses and other boating and yachting events.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of boating and the marine industry.
  • Proficient boat handling skills.
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn about new products.
  • Ability to study inventory and competitor inventory to become an industry expert in the brands that we represent.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A positive attitude with a strong desire to succeed in a sales-driven role.
  • Knowledge and experience with boats, yachts and the boating lifestyle.
  • CYBA brokerage license a plus.
