About the Team
The Welding Team is currently seeking a driven individual to learn laser welding in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility. The Welding Team works together with other departments to build, assemble and ship products for the commercial landscape construction industry.
About the Role
As a Welder, you will work directly with our new laser welding equipment along with MIG/TIG, under the direction of the Welding Team Lead to weld steel, aluminum and other materials together to create finished goods. You will use metal processing equipment and tools and be involved in processing materials for custom projects from CAD drawings. You'll work with other metal departments, including grinding, washing and powder coating. You'll be based in our Port Orchard, WA manufacturing facility and have a hand in accomplishing our #1 goal - a successful project in very way.
What You Will Do
  • Read and interpret production orders; project plans; blueprints; or other written instructions to perform assigned duties
  • Lay out, fit and fabricate metal components to assemble products according to production schedule
  • Inspect the quality of the material before, during, and after the various processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Complete required paperwork for inventory purposes
  • Report defective material and faulty equipment to Production Manager immediately
  • Maintain a clean work environment and abide by all plant safety regulations and work rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need
  • Experience welding in MIG and TIG
  • Experience with laser welding for aluminum
  • Ability to read CAD drawings and measuring tape
  • Ability to lift more than 50lbs, jib cranes are available in most workstations
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation, regular attendance and punctuality are critical
