Job description

WORK SCHEDULE

Overnight early morning hours, starting at 2:00am. Number of Shift hours vary by route. Holidays and Weekends are a MUST.

Job Summary

This is a WEEKEND entry level non-exempt position that primarily requires driving. Under the direction of the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) or the Assistant Distribution Manager (ADM), performs the manual labor aspects of distribution center operations along with assigned driving tasks.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering various routes, maintaining established service levels, and/or show routes to new Delivery Workers (DWs).
  • May perform other driving tasks such as delivery verifications and delivery of replacement copies.
  • Assists in bagging of papers for open routes when needed.
  • Participates in all the daily operations at a Distribution Center.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Availability to assist in other locations as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Technical and Functional

  • Must have and maintain access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license in state of residence, driving record in adherence with PCF guidelines, and automobile insurance at limits required by PCF.
  • Ability to use the internet and learn PCF applications.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed the established customer service objectives.
  • Ability to communicate information professionally and effectively, so that it is understood to customers and peers.

Required Physical Abilities

  • Able to routinely lift heavy items.
  • Able to operate automobile.

Working Environment

  • Able to meet deadlines and attendance standards.
  • Able to work weekends and early morning hours.
  • Able to work in warehouse type environment.
  • Able to function at night in adverse conditions.Â
