Anivas Tech is seeking a webMethods SME to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 12+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.

Requirements:
  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the Software AG webMethods integration platform
  • Design, develop, and maintain integration flows, services, and APIs using webMethods Integration Server, Broker/Universal Messaging, and related components
  • Analyze government agency integration requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable webMethods solutions
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production integration issues affecting mission-critical systems
  • Perform impact assessments for proposed enhancements, patches, and platform upgrades
  • Collaborate with application owners, data teams, and infrastructure staff to ensure reliable end-to-end integration
  • Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of the webMethods platform
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, runbooks, and API catalogs
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the integration team
  • Ensure integration solutions comply with federal security, governance, and architectural standards
  • US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • 12+ years of experience with Software AG webMethods, including Integration Server, Universal Messaging, and Trading Networks
  • Deep expertise in developing and maintaining integration services, adapters, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with API management (webMethods API Gateway/Portal or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and EDI integration standards
  • Proficiency in Java or other programming languages used within the webMethods ecosystem
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to lead incident resolution in production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder and leadership engagement

  • Experience working in a federal government IT environment
